The political divisions in Washington have reached every corner of the United States.
Some of Donald Trump’s supporters say the incitement of the Capitol Hill riot was a step too far, while others argue impeaching the president creates more division.

As someone who is not an American that have to interact with them. They are terrible at explaining their point of view without personally trying to insult you or twist your words to suit their narrative.
In other words a debate or friendly exchange of dialogue or understanding as any such due course is taken as a personal insult. They are afraid of being wrong or perceive as being stupid but by failing to explain their view without attacking the individual asking the question make their fears redundant and this is an attitude of many Americans that goes beyond race.
As no one from what I have seen asks why and going straight to speculation based on conclusion without any facts.
Frankly no one should care what American is doing as it is their own affair the problem is many countries currencies are peg on the dollar as well as American foreign policy that interfere in many countries affairs and liberties.

Backed by Israel and Russia, Trump rode the anti-Clinton, evangelical Republican wave to win the 2016 US presidential election with 3 million less votes than his opponent. An ad hoc US administration consisting of Trump family members, retired generals and right-wing lunatics was then scraped together and US foreign policy swung back somewhere to the right….
